Week 5: Correcting Mistakes

This week was a very hectic week personally but I was able to learn some things this week. I know we had to finish up our wiki article, help out on our group article, and I was making small teaks to my individual mailer article (Mailer, Hemingway, and Boxing). I had a lot of managing different tasks but with the same concept, which is making corrections. My favorite part of any work is correcting my mistakes and to gaining/giving feedback. It is important to take in feedback so you could do better each time because I know feedback is very helpful for me.

Correcting Past Errors: Remediation Project
With my separate article, Mailer, Hemingway, and Boxing, I like the feedback that you gave to me @grlucas on the article and I hope that I made the corrected changes for the parenthetical citations. In Chapter 7 of the text, it is important to provide the audience with correct citations to relay the same message as the author in the text but in digital form. I did enjoy going over each cited work and trying to correct it the best way possible. Though a lot of work, it was worth it because I did see I made some author name errors and other grammatical errors that I passed on which was important to correct.

Wikipedia Article
I also enjoyed finishing my bibliography and planning out the newly adjusted article that I have been working on, Lawrenceville, GA. I was able to find a wide range of information on the city but also take a deeper look at the article. I wanted an entirely different approach to the article than the original creator did. I do believe the article needs to be structured like Atlanta, GA. The city alone has a lot more information than is given. It needs to pull in a lot details to give people a true glimpse of how popular the city is in comparison to the capital, which is at least 32miles away. I did a lot of revamping but my true vision will take some time so I will keep chipping away at it.

The class overall is still a lot to catch up with but I do enjoy the importance of being a digital editor and creating a difference in public information online. It is important for us to tell the truth and provide as much reliable information possible for the audience we serve (Chapter 7). I love that we get a lot of feedback as well to help us get better and also help others.
