I understand the index part. But for each journal entry we do, do we just create a “new topic” in general? Or are we supposed to reply to our index post?
I know we link the entry to our index, but that’s just an embedded link. What I do not know is where we actually create and put the entry… i figure its either a reply or new topic in general? Or I am missing something.
How do you update your Journal Index page? I don’t have an edit button on mine.
There should be a pencil icon, on the lower right side. Just like there are on all your posts.
Yeah, mine doesn’t have one, of course. I don’t know what I did wrong setting it up.
Great question.
You are correct: just click New Topic
and create your post. Once you publish it, link it from your index page.
Please see the original post for my answer. Sorry for the trouble.
Got it, so I think how I did it worked, I’m just extra linked now. And thank you for adding back the edit pencil. I put the link in the content of the index too. I’m triple linked, its a bit nice since now I can hope around to all the pages.
Sure! This is new software for me, so we’re figuring it out together. It’s powerful, but has a lot of setting to be managed. Thanks for the beta testing. And better to be over-linked, I always say.
