Intro about me and why I want to take this class

Hello, my name is Alexis. I enjoy knitting and baking because they let me be creative and relaxed at the same time. I grew up in Georgia, and I have always been curious about how stories connect people across different times and cultures. That curiosity is one of the reasons I chose to take world literature. I want to learn how writers from different places have shared their ideas and how their voices still matter today.

One piece of writing that has made a lasting impression on me is the work about the witch trials in Salem. Reading about that time showed me how fear and misunderstanding can shape society and even destroy lives. The stories from that period are powerful because they reveal both the cruelty and the strength of human nature. They remind me how important it is to question what we accept as truth and to look closely at the world around us.

I am excited to explore more works like this in world literature and to see how they reflect different cultures and beliefs. I hope this class will help me become a better reader and thinker, and I look forward to sharing ideas with everyone here.

Nice to meet you, but your intro should have been posted in the introductions thread. No worries this time.
