Dr. Lucas,
Just notifying you here in case there are issues with my Talk pages sent from two locations.
One was on my Project Mailer article and the other was from my Georgia’s Women in Red selection.
Thank you,
Randy

Dr. Lucas,
I received your instruction on not using the Wikipedia Talk page for correspondence regarding my selection for the Georgia’s Women in Red project.
The article I selected is the Georgia Women of Achievement, primarily because so many of the pictures of the women are missing. I’m having second thoughts about focusing on the pictures due to copyright issues. I learned how to upload images to Wiki Commons and use wiki code to insert them, but I haven’t cracked the code on those not already in the public domain.
Randy
Thanks, Randy.
I’m the same issue with images. Mine always seem to get removed by some busybody editor.
This article, right (always remember that link). I think you can make some updates to that article, but that may not be the best one for your project. Is there a Georgia woman from your area that you could write an article about? Think about it: you still have a little while to decide.
@grlucus
Dr. Lucas - Will do.

Dr. Lucas,
I did some research and found someone currently not on Wikipedia, but a notable writer from my hometown area - Thelma Thompson Slayden. She’s listed in the Who’s Who of American Women, 1961, published three nationally acclaimed books–the first in 1939, and was President of the Atlanta Writer’s Club and Georgia State President of National League of Pen Women.
I would like for my article to be creation of a page for her. I already have some bibliography information - newspaper articles, the page in Who’s Who from Internet Archives, etc. Is this acceptable?
Thank you.
Sounds excellent. Be sure that she is notable enough; it sounds like that won’t be an issue. Did you check with your local library. They might have some excellent resources. Maybe there are also other attractions, like her house, in your area that could help.
I’m driving down to my hometown this week to visit the Thomaston/Upson County Archives to find additional information.
