Header and Byline - possible team meet up

Greetings Everyone,

I am not sure if I am writing this under the correct section, but was anyone able to set up the Header and Byline? If so would you be willing to help me? More than happy to provide my number.

Also would anyone be willing to meet at the Macon/Warner Robins Campus to help one another with our individual pages?

I’m referencing the part that is circled, I am not sure how to edit/fix.

this is what I have so far,

I also visited another students…still not sure what i’m looking at

terrell.harrell,

I found this student’s post helpful.

Here is some more information found for this week: 3/15/25-3/25/25: CompFAQ/WritDM/NMAC 5108 - Gerald R. Lucas

Forgive me, I’m not Sure these are answers to my questions. I’m a little overwhelmed with all the links.

My mistake, terrell.harrell. Hopefully, you are able to get answers to your questions soon.

no need for apologies  we all are trying to figure this thing out.

Always provide links to pages you’re asking about, please.

You are not the author. You are the editor. Therefore, your name does not go on the page at all. That would be the author’s name of the article you are remediating. In your case, it’s Alexander Hicks.

Otherwise, you seem to have it. :+1:

@grlucas Via D2L, you instruct us to " Follow directions on Remediating Articles: “Before Editing” through “Author Bio,”

If I am following the directions/steps in the article you provided, it says to create a header and byline. Are you telling me that we are not supposed to do that? If not, how do I create one/where does it go? I’m stuck on this part (I provided images). I looked at the example by Andrew Gordon, and did not see one there.

Am I supposed to skip over the steps/#1 and go straight to the Wikipedia Training videos, which is listed as #2.

Also, since you mentioned names, am I supposed to take “Terrell Harrell” off and replace it with “Alexander Hicks” ?

Here’s how your article currently looks after I made some corrections:

This is correct through “Author Bio” is finished. Continue with your remediation.

What are you skipping over? I’m not sure what you’re asking.
