First Dream: Arriving at the City
I dreamed of crashing hooves and flashes of gold that first night I stepped into Uruk. I was running as fast as I could through the forest, but my legs got caught on vines. The trees around me soon turned into stone and lions (my brothers) were watching me from a distance. A hand reached out towards me. It was glowing and gave off a strong feeling. I didn’t know if it was there to harm me or help me. I grabbed the hand regardless and the earth rumbled beneath me and suddenly I was at the gates of the city. All eyes were on me and I bowed. When I woke up, there was a strange calmness to the city sounds.
Second Dream- Lying in Death
Last night I dreamed that I was walking alone through a desert. My feet felt heavy and I left no trail of footprints. When I looked down at my hands, they were trembling. I looked up and saw Gilgamesh in the distance. He started shouting my name and running towards me. I was unable to move and I couldn’t speak. The ground underneath me began to open up and flowers grew beneath my feet. Birds started circling me, calling my name. I woke up and felt an odd peace.
