Almost done-Just some Reference issues

Okay. I believe my body and citations are good. But my References are wonky.

1- Why are there double " " on things? When I look at the code. There are not double " " The double quotes are supposed to be normal quotes. And the italics where I did double apostrophes, just plain did not take and did not do the italics, but the italics are there when I look at the code. I’ve tried deleted and adding, and its still messed up. Any advice?

2-all the red errors. I thought I could leave some this= | and not put anything and it would be fine. All of the citations have blanks like that. But on a select few, they made errors. My best guess is its the ones I claimed I websites, because the author listed “web” instead of “print” so for those I said its a website. Is that not correct? Do I put them as journal or magazine instead? None of my sources list a url, so none will have that.

Do not put quotations around titles when using the template. The template will do that for you.

The web template requires a URL.

And that would explain it. Nice and simple. New issue encountered today. I found some in line citations that do not match to a source listed in the citations. You can see them in the last body paragraph of my article, its referencing an issue of Playboy that did an interview with Mailer. I can easily add the source, but my question is should I? Because that seems like a larger edit to make on this document and if our goal is to keep it as close to the original as possible, I would think I should not add or correct things.

Great question and a really good job so far on your remediation! :+1:

Yes, I would add the reference. That is something the editors of the print journal should have caught. We should correct errors like this. Let me know if you have trouble, and I’ll take a closer look.

I should have all the information I need to add it. I found the magazine on ebay and it showed the table of contents, which showed me who the editor was for that month’s issue (and confirmed the interview with Mailer was featured in it). No author is listed, so I’m thinking the author I’ll list is just the editor for that month’s issue.
